From short-term educational visits lasting a few days to clinical programmes from six weeks to one year and translational research for up to two years, the ESMO Oncology Fellowship Programme is a unique opportunity for medical oncologists.

Translational Research Fellowships
- Open to oncologists no older than 40 years. Provides a laboratory component with opportunity to work at a centre of excellence. Comprehensive bench-to-bedside training in translational research
- Duration: 1-2 years
- Amount: €40,000
Clinical Research Fellowship
- Provides young oncologists with training in clinical research at a European cancer centre
- Duration: 1 year
- Amount: €40,000
Georges Mathé Translational Research Fellowship
- Provides young oncologists with training in translational research skills in a European centre of excellence in medicine and therapeutic innovation in the field of oncology and cancer immunology.
- Duration: 1 year
- Amount: €35,000
Welcome Home Fellowship
- Return to home institute after ESMO fellowship
- Duration: 2 years
- Amount: €35,000
Palliative Care Fellowships
- Palliative Care Research Fellowship
  - Research at one of the ESMO Designated Centres of Integrated Oncology and Palliative Care
  - Duration: 1-3 months
  - Amount: €5,000
- Palliative Care Observation Fellowship
  - Observation at one of the ESMO Designated Centres of Integrated Oncology and Palliative Care
  - Duration: minimum 1 month
  - Amount: €2,500
- Clinical Unit Visit Fellowships
  - Short educational visit at a European Centre of Excellence and transfer knowledge to home institute
  - Duration: 6 weeks
