Translating Cabotegravir PrEP From Clinical Trials to the Field: Upcoming Malawi Plans

Mina Hosseinipour, MD, MPH, is a professor of medicine and the scientific director of UNC Project-Malawi. She focuses on the management of HIV disease in developing countries including prevention, interactions with endemic diseases, treatment of opportunistic infections including malignancies and monitoring strategies for antiretroviral therapy in this setting. The evaluation of the use of antiretroviral therapy as HIV prevention is one of the primary objectives of her research.
