Our Work
Work on four continents: Local impact, global solutions
The Institute for Global Health & Infectious Diseases operates flagship programs in the African countries of Malawi, Zambia, Liberia; in China and Vietnam; and in Nicaragua
Our programs are successful because we build strong, mutually beneficial partnerships. From ministries of health and universities to hospitals, clinics, and individual researchers, our relationships leverage each organization’s strengths to address health issues comprehensively, from underlying causes to immediate observable effects. In all of our efforts, the Institute strives to be an effective and strategic partner.
From the Chapel Hill campus of University of North Carolina to our sites in eastern Asia, we are committed to sustainable programs, long-term growth, and local capacity-building.
