Solid Organ Transplantation in People With HIV

Elizabeth (Eli) Arant, MD, is a Clinical Assistant Professor within the transplant infectious diseases group here at UNC Chapel Hill. She completed her residency and chief residency in internal medicine at the University of Virginia and her general infectious diseases and transplant ID fellowships at UNC Chapel Hill. She also received her masters of clinical research (MSCR) at Gillings School of Public Health at UNC Chapel Hill. She recently joined faculty within the Division of Infectious Diseases here at UNC and sees patients on the immunocompromised host inpatient service and in transplant ID clinic. She also maintains a general HIV clinic at Wake County Department of Health. Her research interests include issues related to HIV and solid organ transplantation, especially clinical outcomes and access to transplantation in this population.
