Title: Molecular assessment of Circulating Cell-Free DNA in HIV-infected patients with and without Lymphoma
Project Objectives: This study proposes to evaluate the detection of clonal Immunoglobulin DNA rearrangements in lymphoma specimens from HIV-infected patients in Johannesburg and Klerksdorp, South Africa.
Aim 1: Molecular assessment of 100 South African AIDS lymphoma biopsy specimens
Aim 2: Molecular assessment of plasma from 100 patients with HIV but without lymphoma.
Aim 3: Molecular assessment of 100 plasma and corresponding diagnostic biopsy specimens from patients with untreated AIDS lymphoma
Aim 4: Molecular assessment of 80 plasma and fine needle aspiration (FNA) specimens from patients with HIV
and TB co-infection
