In Country Director

Dr. Ha has been the In-country Director of the UNC Project-Vietnam based in Hanoi Vietnam since 2005. She completed her medical degree from Hanoi Medical University in 1997 and subsequently completed her Masters degree and residency training in 2002. She earned a certification in both epidemiology and Biostatistics from Johns Hopkins university in 2008 and 2010. Dr. Ha plays an integral role in organizing and implementing each phase of HIV intervention trials among key populations for UNC Vietnam, overseeing daily operations of all projects, ensuring compliance with the Ministry of Health and other government regulations, and serving as the liaison between the UNC-Vietnam research team and Vietnamese collaborators. She supervises multiple NIH-funded large and complex randomized controlled trials that include both behavioral and investigational drug evaluations. Her substantial experience and expertise implementing NIH funded HIV prevention trials as well as her strong collaborations with researchers, government and non-governmental public health organizations make Dr. Ha a highly successful and experienced In-Country Director of the UNC project-Vietnam.
