Title: “Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) among Rural Populations in Uganda: Assessing Population Characteristics and Role of Saliva Urea Nitrogen in Kidney Disease Diagnosis”

Program Objectives:

Aim 1: Determine the prevalence and factors associated with CKD
in a rural Ugandan setting.

Aim 2: Determine the diagnostic accuracy of Saliva Urea Nitrogen (SUN) combined with
case-finding questionnaires to diagnose CKD compared to gold standard (proteinuria and estimated glomerular filtration rate).
