About
Through Dr. Thompson’s research as a clinician scientist, she has advocated for improving maternal and infant health through quality preventive measures against HBV and other vaccine-preventable infectious diseases. Her work with colleagues in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) on HBV prevention has informed policy at the national level and has led to the country’s commitment to implement universal HBV birth dose administration in the near future towards HBV elimination in the DRC.
