About
Dr. De Paris is focused on HIV pathogenesis and vaccine testing, with a special interest in pediatric HIV. To inform vaccine development, she is pursuing studies aimed at a deeper understanding of postnatal immune development in infants to optimize early life vaccine strategies. Her research includes both basic research in nonhuman primates and translational research in collaboration with HIV clinicians. In the latter, she has established collaborations with UNC Project-Zambia to study HIV and pregnancy, and how HIV infection in women impacts infant development.
