About

Dr. Baumgartner has experience conducting socio-behavioral and integrated health services research in low-resource contexts globally. She is currently PI for the NICHD R01 ‘Adolescent Wellness Visits to Reduce Health Risks in Tanzania’ (VITAA trial) and the NIMH R01 ‘Family Psychoeducation for Adults with Psychotic Disorders in Tanzania’ (KUPAA trial). She also leads the qualitative and implementation science components of several other research projects focused on child and adolescent health in East Africa.
