Title: “Feasibility of Tele-Psychiatry for Post- Hospital Care Among HIV Positive Patients with Depression at a Large HIV Centre in Kampala, Uganda”

Program Objectives:

Hypothesis: HIV patients with depression will complete at least 75% of all journal and questionnaire exercises in-between hospital visits.

Aim 1: Assess the feasibility and acceptability of post-hospital journaling and questionnaires delivered using SMS or online web portal among HIV positive young adults with depression.

Hypothesis: Patients on tele-psychiatry will attain faster reduction in symptom severity than those on standard care.

Aim 2: Assess the preliminary impact of tele-psychiatry on depression symptoms among HIV positive young adults under psychiatric care.
