Title: “Weight changes and associated factors in adolescents on dolutegravir based antiretroviral therapy in Kampala, Uganda”

Program Objectives:

Aim 1. To determine the prevalence of weight gain among adolescents on DTG based ART at Kiswa centre II (HCII) in Kampala.
Aim 2. To identify the factors associated with weight gain among adolescents on DTG based ART at Kiswa HCII in Kampala. Factors that will be assessed include sex, viral load, CD4 count and lifestyle.
Aim 3. To identify metabolic changes that are associated with weight gain among adolescents on DTG based ART at Kiswa HCII in Kampala. Metabolic parameters that will be assessed include blood pressure and pulse rate, waist circumference, waist to hip ratio and fasting blood glucose (FBG).
