About
Dr. Henderson is an infectious disease epidemiologist and data scientist working to improve clinical and preventive care for North Carolinians through rigorous observational research. Her goal is to employ “big data” with advanced analytic methods to characterize and predict infectious diseases and their outcomes, as well as to evaluate preventive and clinical practices. Her research focuses primarily on performing cohort studies using data from electronic health records to discover the clinical outcomes of infection and their associations with treatments and other exposures. Her objective is to contribute to evidence-based practices in infectious disease prevention and treatment, by generating meaningful insights from real-world data.
