Title: Online HIV self-testing among men who have sex with men (MSM) in Guangzhou, China: an implementation science evaluation
Project Objectives:
Hypothesis: Community based organizations (CBO) leaders may resist HIV self-testing (HIVST) platforms because this would draw users away from community-based HIV testing and counseling organized by CBOs.
Aim 1: Determine barriers and facilitators of online HIVST and linkage to care using in-depth interviews among public health leaders, CBO leaders, and policymakers,
Hypothesis: Guidelines about HIVST can facilitate implementation using an online model, increase key population uptake, and allay CBO fears.
Aim 2: Examine barriers and facilitators to online HIVST using in-depth interviews among MSM who have used and not used online HIVST, and compile draft online HIVST guidelines based on input from health professionals and key populations.
