Title: Establishing sickle cell diagnostics and characterizing a pediatric sickle cell disease (SCD) cohort in Malawi

Project Objectives:  To determine what hemoglobin variants are represented among clinically diagnosed SCD patients in Lilongwe, and to determine clinical characteristics and complications among children with confirmed SCD in this setting.
