About
Bonnie Shook-Sa is an associate professor in the Department of Biostatistics at UNC and the Assistant Director of the UNC CFAR Biostatistics Core. She has over 15 years of experience in collaborative public health research and statistical methods development, and she has been a member of the CFAR Biostatistics Core since 2018. Bonnie conducts both statistical methods research and applied infectious disease research. Her methods work focuses on causal inference and survey sampling, where she primarily aims to develop and apply statistical methods to improve the generalizability of infectious disease studies.
