About
Dr. Miller conducts research in Vietnam, China, and Malawi. Currently, his research in Vietnam focuses on interventions and implementation science to improve the quality of HIV care and prevention. Ongoing work uses a brief alcohol intervention to improve ART use and is being evaluated in a trial for appropriate PrEP persistence. He also has ongoing work with people who inject drugs, seeking to ensure that they receive the needed care. His work has overall focused on many related issues such as HIV care, acute HIV infection, partner services, and appropriate surveillance. He currently serves on the board of directors for both UNC Project Malawi and UNC Project Vietnam.
