Biography:
Peyton is a 2nd year Pediatric Infectious Disease fellow at UNC. She is also working towards her Masters of Science in Clinical Research at Gillings School of Global Public Health. Her research primarily focuses on preventing transmission of hepatitis B virus in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, for which she is mentored by Drs. Meshnick, Jhaveri and Parr. She intends to pursue a career in global pediatric research specifically related to vaccine-preventable infectious diseases that have an impact infant health.
