Tidziwe Centre, UNC Project Annexe

UNC Project is based at Tidziwe Centre on the campus of Kamuzu Central Hospital in Lilongwe. “Tidziwe” is a Chichewa word which means, “We should find out.”  This two-story, 17,500 sq ft building includes outpatient and research exam and counseling rooms, a state-of-the-art laboratory, a medical library with satellite web connections supporting journal access, a lecture hall and classroom with teleconferencing capacity, a data management area with remote and local data entry capacity, secure data storage space, a pharmacy and dispensary, and administrative and community outreach offices.

Through its pathology laboratory located in the Annexe Building close to the Tidziwe, UNC Project serves the central and northern regions of the country through cancer diagnosis. The pathology laboratory also serves various cancer studies being undertaken.
