Webinar: Global Threats, Local Actions: Securing North Carolina’s Health in a Connected World.

There’s a powerful relationship between global health and life in North Carolina! Don’t miss this webinar during University Research Week, with a panel discussion identifying some of our state’s biggest threats, and what we’re doing to address them.
The ‘global’ in global health refers to the scope of health problems, not just their location, which COVID-19 showed us can mean infectious diseases with pandemic potential. Members of the UNC Institute for Global Health and Infectious are investigators working to strengthen North Carolina’s resilience against disease threats. These same faculty investigators are also mentors, who power Carolina’s curriculums, putting learning into practice for students at all levels, here in North Carolina and through our global sites around the world.
This is a virtual event via Zoom. Join us and discover how lessons learned worldwide strengthen North Carolina’s resilience against infectious and emerging pathogens. Questions? Contact kim_morris@med.unc.edu
Note: this event will offer CLE credit for students.
