
Pediatric Grand Rounds: Pneumonia in Infants Living with HIV–The EMPIRICAL Study

Tisungane Mvalo, MD, is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics, and the in-country Pediatric Director of UNC Project Malawi. He practices clinically at Kamuzu Central Hospital in Lilongwe, Malawi, and provides on-the-ground mentorship for the rotating learners. Dr. Mvalo is principal investigator for several ongoing research studies at UNC Project Malawi, including the Innovative Treatment in Pneumonia (ITIP) trials and Tuberculosis Meningitis trials. Dr. Mvalo’s lecture will take place in Old Clinic Auditorium (Rm. 4008) and will be available virtually via ZooM.
