
OGHE: Breast Cancer Care Experience in a Low-Resource Setting: Perspectives from Malawi

Dr. Selena An is a general surgery resident at the University of North Carolina. Her research focuses on cancer outcomes and disparities. Previously, she was an NCI global oncology fellow and an NIH-Fogarty global health fellow studying breast cancer care in Malawi. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the Duke School of Medicine, Master of Science in Public Health from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, and Master of Arts in International Relations from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. She aspires to contribute to the advancement of cancer care in low-resource settings in the U.S. and globally.
