How HIV hides during therapy: Molecular analysis of HIV latency

Browne holds a master’s of science from the University of Auckland and a doctorate from Princeton University. His research interest in in the replication and pathogenesis of HIV. He is focused specifically on understanding the nature of latent HIV reservoirs and in developing new tools to reverse latency.

Browne recently was awarded an NIH phase 2 Small Business Innovation Research contract to continue working with Cell Microsystems on developing an assay for measuring HIV latency in single cells. His lab also recently was awarded an R01 to study the basic mechanisms of latency.
