Outbreak Analytics and Disease Modeling to Inform Public Health Decision-Making

Drs. Kimberly Powers and Justin Lessler are faculty members in the UNC Department of Epidemiology and co-Directors of the Atlantic Coast Center for Infectious Disease Dynamics and Analytics (ACCIDDA). Both specialize in researching infectious disease dynamics, with the goal of informing transmission prevention strategies, policy decisions, and public health programs. Justin has a particular interest in SARS-CoV-2, influenza, cholera, and dengue, while much of Kim’s work has focused on HIV, syphilis, and other STIs.
