Title: Contemporary incidence, risk factors and outcomes of disengagement from antiretroviral treatment in Khayelitsha, South Africa: a retrospective cohort study of adolescents and adults
Project Objectives:
Hypothesis: That logistical barriers in clinics, as well as, individual demographic and health factors contribute to loss to follow up from ART care and subsequent morbidity and mortality, as measured by hospitalizations and vital status.
Aim 1: To identify the clinics at which the highest incidence of default is occurring in Khayelitsha, South Africa.
Aim 2: To identify risk factors for default from ART care.
Aim 3: To determine the outcomes of patients who default on ART.
