Ross-Boyce-Lyme-Disease-WSJRoss Boyce, MD, was recently interviewed for a Wall Street Journal article that explores evolving medical perspective on chronic Lyme disease. New research and a greater awareness of the long-term effects of infections, similar to those seen in COVID-19 recovery, has led to more acceptance for the concept of “chronic Lyme disease.”

Dr. Boyce recognizes that many symptoms attributed to chronic Lyme—like fatigue, brain fog, and joint pain—are real and deserve attention, but they may not stem from persistent infection. He cautions against over diagnosis and unnecessary long-term antibiotic treatments, which can be harmful and unsupported by evidence. He advocates for better diagnostics with evidence-based care.
