Advocates for Grassroots Development in Uganda (AGRADU)
Advocates for Grassroots Development in Uganda (AGRADU) is a UNC student initiative aiming to support indigenous grassroots efforts at community building and economic development in Uganda. AGRADU helps to educate and to raise awareness about international development from a grassroots standpoint by giving students the opportunity to participate directly in such efforts.

Campus Y South Africa Scholarship Fund
Campus Y raises funds for Christel House school in Cape Town SA for student mental health services. Christel House provides a comprehensive education and leadership development program for the very poorest children in Cape Town, working with children from six to eight of its townships.

Carolina for Kibera
Carolina for Kibera, Inc. (CFK) is a 501(c)(3) international non-governmental organization housed at Center for Global Initiatives at UNC-Chapel Hill. Run by Kenyans and advised by American and Kenyan volunteers, CFK's primary mission is to promote youth leadership and ethnic and gender cooperation in Kibera through sports, young women's empowerment, and community development. Additionally, CFK works to improve basic healthcare, sanitation, and education in Kibera. Serving as a model for holistic, community-based urban development worldwide, CFK has helped grassroots organizations develop youth-based programs in six other nations and dozens of communities in Kenya.

GlobeMed
GlobeMed is a national non-profit organization that connects student-led chapters at universities across the United States directly to health organizations around the world. In forming partnerships and designing innovative health projects, we allow ourselves and members of the community to engage, educate, and enable. Enabling students to construct change will allow them to deepen their own education. Educating our students and community will provide a greater capacity to improve global health. The UNC chapter supports efforts in Uganda.

Millennium Villages Project
Millennium Villages operates 80 villages across 10 countries in sub-Saharan Africa and takes a comprehensive approach to addressing extreme poverty. By combining the best scientific and local knowledge, Millennium Villages address all the major problems simultaneously − hunger, disease, inadequate education, lack of safe drinking water, and absence of essential infrastructure − to assist communities on their way to self-sustainable development.

Project HEAL
Project HEAL is student-run and student-founded 501(c)(3) global health organization based at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Project HEAL is also a special project of the University of North Carolina's Campus Y. Project HEAL's overarching mission is to engage undergraduate students in international service experiences to facilitate culturally relevant and locally-driven sustainable development in Lawra and Kumasi, Ghana. Project HEAL has pledged a comprehensive commitment to the health and wellness of the people of Ghana in an effort to improve access to basic health knowledge, overall quality of care, and availability of vital medical supplies. The ultimate goal of Project HEAL is community-based sustainability with local health officials leading such initiatives.

Students United for Darfur Awareness Now (S.U.D.A.N.)
S.U.D.A.N. focuses on confronting the genocide in the Darfur region of Sudan through raising awareness, encouraging advocacy and fundraising for direct humanitarian relief.

Tugbeawo
A special project of the Campus Y, Tugbeawo raises funding to provide scholarships for girls in Ghana. Tugbeawo seeks to partner with other groups on campus to empower women and promote equality internationally.
