Melissa Culp facilitates the UNC Radiology Malawi Program and its three bilateral goal initiatives: 1) effective radiology integration for physicians across clinical services; 2) technologist/ radiographer education and development; and 3) biomedical engineering human capacity development for equipment maintenance.
Melissa’s interests include the integration of radiology in global health to meet World Health Organization Global Targets, such as reduction in NCDs, and local human capacity development within global health partnerships for sustainability. She collaborates with colleagues at the World Health Organization and International Atomic Energy Agency to promote international policy support for diagnostic imaging, interventional imaging, and radiotherapy in global health.
